and, ohh how I love each and every one of you.
As my life has progressed, I have slowly but surely realized 8 things.
-
I love literature and poetry. (A few favorites: “Daisy Miller” by Henry James, “Girl Through Glass” by Sari Wilson; everything Mary Oliver.)
-
and writing is fun too.
-
“It’s not the weight you carry, but how you carry it” that is the most important. (Thank you Mary Oliver for the insight–go check out her poem “Heavy” )
-
Planes, trains, automobiles and hiking shoes are a must have to support my exploration habit.
-
but a journal and playing cards are just as good.
-
My life verse is Numbers 6:24-26: “The Lord bless you and keep you…”
-
Health is a blessing but illness is not a curse.
-
Teaching is something I love and something I want to explore more.
And so we are here. Here at the stage of a dream coming true. A dream of traveling the world on my own. A dream of teaching. A dream of being healthy, happy and hopeful.
On June 23 (25 more days guys!) I travel across the world to teach at Bethel International School in Tacloban City, Philippines for the 2016-2017 school year.
So welcome, friends! I am excited to embark on this next chapter and let you travel with me via the internet. It will be fun!
